I began doing tax work in 1995, when the World Wide Web was just becoming widely accessible. Being a huge fan and early adopter of email from my days as a programmer at Xerox Corp. in the mid-1980s, I realized that email and the web would revolutionize many information-based fields.
The Internet allows me to stay in touch and work closely with clients. Effective communication via Facebook and Newsletterskeeps you informed. Email contact allows me to be responsive to your questions and reply thoughtfully. My clients know that I am only a "click" away.
I am an Enrolled Agent providing income tax and payroll services to clients located throughout the State of California. I strive to be thorough, accurate, and highly responsive, thereby alleviating my clients' tax-related stress and worry to the greatest degree possible.
I started doing tax work in 1995 and made child care providers the focus of my tax practice in 2007. The need is out there. Providers are looking for tax professionals familiar with the unique tax rules that apply to the business of family child care. It is a pleasure to work with these caring individuals. I now work with child care providers located throughout California.
Born and raised mostly in Marin County, I have lived at various times in Sacramento, San Francisco, Berkeley, Torrance and Long Beach. I settled in the East Bay city of Fremont in 1988.
I have a bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of California at Berkeley. After a number of years working as a software engineer, I discovered a passion for the tax field.
Please contact me by email or phone with any questions.
Enrolled agents (EAs) are America's Tax Experts.
EAs are the only federally licensed tax practitioners who specialize in taxation and also have unlimited rights to represent taxpayers before the IRS.
I passed all parts of the Enrolled Agent exam in a single sitting to earn my EA credential in 1989. This difficult, two-day test is administered by the Internal Revenue Service and covers all areas of taxation.
Because Enrolled Agents are "admitted to practice before the Internal Revenue Service," I can deal directly with the IRS and the California Franchise Tax Board on behalf of clients, thereby resolving any issues that come up.
I keep current with many hours of continuing education each year to maintain my professional standing and provide excellent client education and service.

It is my pleasure to work with many family child care providers.
From what I've seen, most tax professionals are not very aware of child care tax rules , though providers face a daunting array of legal, licensing and tax considerations.
Daycare providers are some of the hardest working folks around. They nurture and educate our little ones and provide an essential service in our communities.
Of all the business owners I've worked with, child care providers are the most in need of specialized, affordable, quality care. They value a trusted advisor who can help them comply with record keeping and tax filings. I am glad to be able to fill that position for many.
